Dr. Cotterell specializes in orthopaedic hand surgery, specifically the management of traumatic and non-traumatic hand, wrist and elbow pathology, including arthroscopy of the wrist and elbow, as well as ultrasound evaluation.

Education

Dr. Cotterell received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University, where she was an All-American Field-Hockey player and member of the USA National team. She then went onto medical school at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. She completed her residency in orthopedic surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center. She also completed a fellowship in hand, upper extremity and microsurgery at Duke University Medical Center. She is board eligible for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and licensed by Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Medicine.
