John Truitt, DDS

Experience

Dr. John Truitt is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, specializing in third molar surgery, dentoalveolar surgery and outpatient general anesthesia.

Practice

Dr. Truitt began his professional practice in 2008, founding Truitt Oral Surgery in April of 2012.

Education

After graduating with honors from Virginia Tech in 1999, Dr. Truitt went on to graduate with honors from Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Dentistry in 2003. He completed a four-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2008. Dr. Truitt is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Profile

Outside of the practice, Dr. Truitt enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife, Jenny, have two sons, Jackson and Jacob. Dr. Truitt enjoys surfing and competitive sporting clays shooting. He is a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
